 Hemp Clone FAQ

What license is required to purchase hemp clones?

  • A current hemp license from the purchaser's respective state is required to buy hemp clones through our partner growers. Licenses must be compliant with the U.S. Domestic Hemp Production Program. More information may be found here

Where are your CBD hemp clones grown?

  • The hemp clones available on our site are grown and sold by approved, vetted, and licensed growers and/or breeders. The main grower that we work with is Almanac Hemp and they are located in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Are your hemp clones best suited for biomass production, or smokable flower production?

  • In theory, any of the strains of hemp clones on our site would be well suited for the production of either.

    • Typically, we suggest either Cherry Wine or Quick Kush for biomass production.

      • Cherry Wine is great for biomass production because of its large colas, high yields, and respectable CBD levels.

      • Quick Kush is best used for biomass production when an early harvest is desired. Such a desired situation is typical in areas prone to late season issues such as botrytis and frost, or when a staggered harvest is required.

    • All of our hemp clone strains are ideally suited for smokable CBD flower production.

Do your growers offer hemp clone shipping, pick-up, and delivery options?

  • Yes, all three options are available. Shipping and delivery options incur an additional fee. Pick-up is available in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Do you sell hemp clones on your site or through your company?

  • No. All of the hemp clones on our site are sold through our partner growers. We're just here to get the word out. Feel free to contact us or our partner growers with any questions.

Are your hemp clones autoflowering or photoperiodic?

  • All of the CBD hemp clones for sale on our site are photoperiodic, meaning that their flowering phase is initiated by the amount of daylight they receive, as opposed to their age.

How large do your hemp plants grow?

  • All of the hemp plants that we have listed on our site are intended for the production of cannabinoids like CBD, and will typically have mature sizes much bushier and shorter than hemp plants grown for the production of fiber or seed (which will typically be tall and narrow).

  • The mature size of our listed genetics will vary based off a variety of factors; such as the amount time they are allowed to spend in their vegetative phase, available nutrients, water, etc. However, their size will often not exceed 6 feet in height and 4 feet in width.

What are the best areas to grow hemp clones?

  • The hemp genetics that we have listed on our site have all been refined for the eastern U.S. climate. There was a special focus on botrytis resistance since the east coast is known for higher humidity than many other areas.

  • Our partner growers have had clients from all over the country successfully grow their genetics in both indoor and outdoor grow setups. We feel as if our listed hemp strains will likely thrive in most places.

How are hemp clones sold?

  • They're sold in plug trays of 72, or individually in 4" grow pots.

What CBD percentage should I expect from your hemp genetics?

  • The CBD percentage that our hemp clones are able to produce will vary based on a variety of factors such as maturity of flower and grow conditions. All of our hemp clone cultivars have their expected CBD percentages listed on their respective pages.
